This is for those who prefer to have the simplest of options with no funeral service, otherwise known as a ‘Direct Cremation’. These funerals are at a time arranged by the funeral director. A memorial service can be arranged at an alternative time if desired (ashes can be present).

Costs are dependent on your choice of crematorium, starting from £1725 . This cost is all inclusive*. The service includes the following:

  • Collection of the deceased and transportation to our chapel of rest, within office hours, within a 20 mile radius. Out of office hours or further mileage incurs additional charges.

  • Care of the deceased – preparation and dressing (embalming if required at an additional cost)

  • Funeral arrangements in our office

  • Administration and paperwork

  • Provision of an appropriate funeral vehicle and staff on the day of the cremation

  • Provision of a simple coffin

  • Ashes to be collected by family from the funeral directors

 

* Since 9th September 2024 there is no longer a statutory £82 Doctors fee.
